Ye Olde Windmill is a 400 year old country pub and restaurant situated at the pinnacle of Gentleshaw Common on a site of scientific interest.
Around the premises we have framed deeds written in Olde English from the 18th century and artifacts from the origins of the pub.
We also have a disused windmill on our premises which sits just next to our Crown Bowling Green.
There is a legend of the disused windmill being built upon an ancient pagan burial ground and that the premises is haunted.
There have been many reported sightings of ghosts and other strange activity.
Here at the Windmill we serve a great selection of guest ales from both local and national breweries.
